What if you knew a recession will affect your business six months from now? What would you do about it today?
What if you knew the recent supply chain challenges impacting your business continued to escalate? What would you do about it today?
What if you knew a competitor might intentionally disrupt the industry you’re in? What would you do about it today?
As you look ahead, you’ll see there’s no shortage of scenarios that could affect your business.
Leadership Tip
Think about potential problems today so you can plan now. Become more proactive and less reactive.
Easy to say, but hard to do? Not really. Just listen and watch what’s going on around you.
As a suggestion, with your team, identify a short list of realistic “what-if” scenarios. “Realistic scenarios” are defined as events that have a 50%+ chance of coming to fruition. For example, by listening to economic experts, you know it’s likely a recession could hit the United States in the next 18 months. Based on early signs such as rising fuel and housing prices, supply chain challenges, and food shortages, that’s quite realistic.
Don’t wait until a crisis arrives to do what you should have done months earlier. Instead, mindfully prepare and even seek assistance such as this Thinkership program.
The last what if is this: What if you didn’t plan to meet the challenges ahead? What would your world look like then?
