Celebrating President’s Day earlier this week reminded me of the many insightful leadership quotes captured throughout history.
One of my favorites comes from President John F. Kennedy:
“Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.”
This simple message stresses the importance for leaders to continue learning. Or loosely translated, “Never think you’ve made it.”
How about the importance of selecting good talent, delegating, and no micro-managing? This comes from President Theodore Roosevelt:
“The best leader is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint enough to keep from meddling with them while they do it.”
I’m sure President Roosevelt would agree that this sentiment applies to women as well.
