When an athlete or a team wins or loses their competition at the 2016 Olympic Games, you can count on emotion. You will see tears of joy from the victor and on occasion, tears of disappointment from the loser.
As the saying does, the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.
Emotion is good. It demonstrates you care and are passionate about something.
Many businesses could use a little passion and emotion.
It starts with the leader. If the leader doesn’t seem to care, then why should anyone else care.
Think about situations and or opportunities where you can demonstrate your genuine excitement for your teams or an individual employee’s performance. They may not be winning a gold medal but you can sure make them feel like they did.
2016 Olympic Games Leadership Lesson #4: Lead your team with passion and emotion. Let your team see and hear your passion in your stump speeches and in your daily actions. You, your team and your customers all win.
