Happy New Year!
Thank you for your support and business during 2018.
Your enthusiasm for what we do inspires me to continue providing current, relevant weekly leadership tips as well as leadership coaching, training, consulting, and speaking.
We began providing The Leadership Tip of the Week in January 2011. With last week’s tip, we have completed 8 years of sharing ways to develop your leadership skills.
As we start a new year, it’s no secret we live in a culturally complex and challenging world. Because of that, we intend to help you connect, create, and collaborate with people of diverse cultures. Doing this will result in expanding your influence and protecting your brand as you develop the skill of Cultural Mastery.
Cultural Mastery has become extremely important because, as you know, many careers and brands have been damaged due to something out of line that people did or said. They lacked the skill of Cultural Mastery and paid a price.
I recently read an excellent book on this topic: The 6 Stages of Cultural Mastery. Its author Ricardo Gonzalez has opened my mind to learn how to work more effectively with people who are different than me. The principles Ricardo teaches address our world of cultural confusion and conflict; his six stages are timeless and transcendent.
Throughout 2019, commit to developing the skill of Cultural Mastery.
To develop this skill, start with these suggestions:
1. Go to the podcast page of our website to listen to the conversation with Ricardo Gonzalez about the 6 Stages of Cultural Mastery to understand the why and how of developing this skill.
2. Pick up Ricardo’s book The 6 Stages of Cultural Mastery for an in-depth understanding of why developing Cultural Mastery is essential.
3. Register to attend (or to receive a copy of the replay) my January 17th webinar featuring Ricardo Gonzalez as my guest. He will discuss What is a Cultural Health Assessment and Why Should You Care?
Make 2019 an awesome year of taking your leadership skills to a higher level-and mastering Cultural Mastery.
